📚 Literacy Programs 📚

At Champions of Youth, we believe every child deserves access to books and the opportunity to fall in love with reading. That’s why we provide books to the children in our program, at no cost to them or their families. Whether it’s picture books for young children or engaging novels for teens, we want every child to find stories that inspire, educate, and empower them.

Building a Lifelong Love of Reading

Through our literacy programs, we aim to:

– Encourage reading at home and in everyday life
– Support academic success through access to age-appropriate books
– Promote self-confidence, imagination, and learning through storytelling

We distribute books during events as well as during in-office meetings, making sure every child has the opportunity to take home a book that excites them.

Get Involved

We’re encouraging community involvement in our mission. If you’d like to support a child’s reading journey, consider donating new or gently used children’s books for any age between 4 and 17. Your donation helps spark imagination, expand vocabulary, and open new worlds for our youth.

To donate books or contribute financially to our literacy efforts, please call our office at 812-663-7556 or stop by 1201 N Lincoln Street Suite D, Greensburg, IN 47240.

We’re proud to partner with the WNBA All-Star Reads initiative, a national effort led by the WNBA to promote youth literacy and inspire a love for reading among kids of all backgrounds.

This partnership connects our young readers with books that promote diversity, empowerment, and strong role models, many of which feature inspiring female characters and real-life stories of perseverance and leadership. With the WNBA’s support, we’re not just handing out books, we’re helping young people see themselves in stories and believe in their own potential.

Together, we’re showing kids that strong minds lead to strong futures, and that reading can be a stepping stone to confidence, courage, and connection!Â
